Supporting bereaved parents across Canada, grieving the death/loss of a child at any age, from any cause, at any time.

**This group is not tailored to cancer loss, but is a peer support group for grieving the death/loss of a child.

This group offers one-on-one support and resources for prostate cancer patients. They serve the Nipissing, Parry Sound, Timmins, and surrounding areas. Through their affiliation with Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, they provide access to information, support groups, webinars, and more.

The Canadian Cancer Society offers a nationwide support system for people with cancer, their families, friends, and caregivers. They provide free programs and services to help manage life with cancer, including an online community and information specialists.

CancerConnection.ca is an online peer support community designed to assist individuals affected by cancer, including patients, survivors, and their loved ones. The platform offers a safe space for members to connect, share experiences, and access valuable resources. Key services include:

• Discussion Forums: Members can participate in various forums to discuss topics related to cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship, facilitating mutual support and information exchange.
• Resource Directory: The platform provides information on practical services such as wig and breast prosthesis programs, accommodation during treatment, financial aid, and transportation assistance.
• Cancer Information Helpline: Users can access support through the Cancer Information Helpline by visiting the Canadian Cancer Society's website or calling 1-888-939-3333.
• Community News and Updates: Members stay informed about the latest developments, including new support programs and services, through regular community news postings.

YACC Support Groups are a meaningful way to connect with people who “get it” and build community. Facilitated by peers with advanced mental health knowledge over Zoom, participants sign up and commit to getting together weekly for eight weeks in order to deepen connections and build on the conversation.

Brain Tumour Support Groups allow patients, survivors, and caregivers to share their experiences and feelings in a safe and confidential environment, as well as to give and receive information or support from others going through parallel diagnoses.

The Nipissing Myeloma Support Group is dedicated to providing myeloma patients, survivors, and their loved ones with awareness, education, and support.

The Warriors of Hope, established in October 1999, are a team of breast cancer survivors based in North Bay who participate in dragon boat racing to exemplify the achievements possible after a breast cancer diagnosis. Supported by volunteers and associate members, they serve as role models for cancer survivors both locally and in the various locations where they compete. Beyond racing, the Warriors focus on raising public awareness about breast cancer and promoting active fitness programs to support survivorship. Their dedication and community support have led to significant accomplishments on and off the water.
