Health Science North Cancer Centre offers Wig and Skin Care Services through "Look Good Feel Better", with online registration required. They provide support via podcasts and workshops (both online and in-person) to help manage the aesthetic effects of cancer and its treatments. Services are tailored for women, men, and teens, covering topics like wigs, hair alternatives, skincare, cosmetics, and breast forms. All services require online registration.

Robinson’s Pharmasave (North Bay) and Pharmachoice (Verner) have experienced certified mastectomy fitters that can properly fit you according to your individual needs. Robinson’s can order in the bras. Pharmachoice will carry the products. They are registered mastectomy vendors for the Assistive Devices Program.

We are a lingerie store located in downtown North Bay specializing in bra fittings. We have a large variety of styles and sizes of bras ranging from 30 to 48 bands and A to M cups.

We started with bras and quickly heard the urgent need for mastectomy products. We are very happy to be able to help these women get back to looking exactly  like they did before the surgery.

We went on to add swimwear\cruise wear, pajamas and a broad range of products that I personally enjoy and am proud to offer. With the help of my two daughters, we opened a second location in Sudbury in 2011, as there was just as much of a need there. 

It is a store where women can browse through a variety of clothing products, bras, swimwear and tops knowing that all clothing products can accommodate a breast form. They can feel that they have choices just like they did before breast cancer.

Coverage

The Assistive Device Program (ADP) provides funding that may be eligible for up to 75% of the cost of compression garments for arms and legs. Unfortunately compression garments for other body parts are not covered by this program but you may have coverage through your private insurance. 

Assistive Devices Program Funding:

The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for lymphadenopathy may be able to cover 75% of the cost of the compression garments for arms and legs. Compression garments for other areas are not covered by this program. 

There are 3 steps for applying to the ADP:

1. Be examined by your doctor or specialist. The examination will confirm that you need compression garments. Your doctor or specialist will refer you to an authorizer. 
2. Meet with the authorizer to determine which garment is best suited for your condition. 
3. North Bay: Contact Robinson’s Pharmasave, ADP-recognized compression therapy vendor to purchase the recommended garments.
4. Verner: Pharmachoice, ADP-recognized therapy vendor in Verner to purchase the recommended garments.
